A Busy April
Spring has finally arrived!!! We are all so grateful to see the grass getting greener and the playground getting drier. It has been a long winter and now we are ready to enjoy the fun of April.
Thanks! As always, your generosity for our Spring parties was greatly appreciated. The snacks were delicious and your children went home with goodies bags that were overflowing.
This year as in the past 8 years we will be running a “Trike –a- Thon” for St. Judes’s Children’s Hospital. Every year we have the children participate in this project and they feel good about helping others.
Each family should have gotten a sponsor sheet. You may choose to participate or not. Every child in our Pre-K and Preschool class will get a chance to ride our trikes around our track. We will keep track of how many times they go around (limiting them to 10). All of the information is on the sponsor sheet. You do not have to send in a tricycle. We will supply the trikes and the track. (Thank you Morgan Prudenti for sharing your trikesJ)
All pledge sheets and donations are due by April 15th. Thank you in advance for your help.
Also,we want to thank Mrs. Barbara Ann Beto who has been helping out Miss Jamie and Miss Jenna with our preschool classes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Barbara has many years working with Preschoolers and we thank her for her assistance!!!! |
April Vacation
As you know, Liberty Learning Center follows the Great Meadows School Calendar. Because they have a spring vacation the week of April 21th – April 25, we will NOT be having Pre-K or Preschool Classes during that week. Our center will be open for Child Care ONLY for those days.
D.E.A.R. Days
On Tuesdays in April we will ask Pre-K parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles to come in and read a book to us. You chose the book and we will Drop Everything And Read when you come in. The children will enjoy hearing their special person come in and read a favorite book. Please sign up if you can make it on a Tuesday beginning April 8th.
TOYS CAUSE TROUBLE>>>>>> We have been lax in our old rule that toys are not permitted at school. Now, because of many problems (broken, missing, not sharing,) we are going to insist that no toys from home are allowed in school (including hand held games!) We will take toys that arrive at school and keep them behind the front desk until parents arrive. We have PLENTY of toys at school to share and a great big play yard to explore. Thanks for your help in this issue.
FYI: · Land of Make-Believe Trip is May 20th. More info to follow · We will be outside a lot from now on. Please send appropriate clothing. |
