August Happenings
One more month of summer and we have so much fun ahead!! Our older group will be spending time at the Hackettstown pool every Tues, Wed, and Thurs., the last pool day will be August 26th. Please remember that Thursdays we go to the snack bar so children should bring some extra money for a treat. If you would like me to send a snack in for them please let me know. Our middle group and littles are going into our sprinklers and wading pools each afternoon. Sometimes we are playing with bubbles and water toys. Please remember to send in a bathing suit, towel and plastic bag for their wet suits. Also, SUNSCREEN is a must on these hot, sunny days. The last “formal” week of our summer program will be the week of August 23rd. The following week, August 30 through Sept. 3trd, we will be open for childcare only. You MUST sign up ahead of time for this week. Please see Mrs. Hourihan if you have not signed up yet and need your child to come. Our Pre-K and Preschool classes will start on Wednesday, September 8th and Thursday, September 9th. We will have an Open House for Preschool students and their parents on Tuesday, Aug.31 and for Pre-K students and their parents on Wednesday, Sept. 1. All students will receive an invitation from either Mrs. Hourihan or Miss Jenna.

Fall Registrations If you have not filled out a re-registration paper for the fall please see Mrs. Hourihan as soon as possible. With the consolidation of schools, our Before and After Program is nearly full. You should have also informed Great Meadows transportation office if your child will be riding to and/or from LLC during the school year. Any questions, please see Mrs. Hourihan.
Hello to Fall/Goodbye to Friends It is always difficult to say goodbye to friends who will be moving on after the summer is over. We thank all of you for trusting us with your children and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Please call us if you need childcare on School Holidays. We will celebrate together, one last time on Friday, August 27 from 10:00-3:00. We will supply lunch for all children, (hot dogs/chips/ice cream), along with games and prizes and fun activities. Please feel free to send your child during this time, even if they don’t come on Fridays.
