Happy Holidays!!!

We are going to have lots of fun in December. Please make time to enjoy the holidays because your children surely will.

Thank you to all of our Pre-K parents and their generous donations for our Thanksgiving Feast. The children did a super job and the feast was a huge success.

Also, a big thank you to all of the families who bought pies and cakes from Ashley Farms. We raised over $400.00 towards our new alarm system!!! We hope you enjoyed your desserts.

We will be focusing on two holidays celebrated in December: Hanukkah, Christmas. If you would like to come in any time during our day and read a story or share a tradition please let Mrs. Hourihan know as soon as possible.

Both the Pre-k and the Preschool will celebrate the holidays with a holiday party. Please check the calendar on the other side of this newsletter for the dates of their parties. Each child should bring a wrapped book ($2.50 or less) to put in a grab bag for the party. Mark on the front if the book is for a boy/girl/ or either. This helps us make sure that everyone is happy. There will be sign ups by the front door for goodies for the parties.

JUST A THOUGHT……

Instead of giving the teachers presents this year, we would like to collect money for the local food pantries in our area. We did it last year and we raised over $200.00 and the food pantry was very grateful.  It is a very tough time for many people and we would rather help others in their time of need. So if you were going to give presents how about a donation instead? Thank you for your constant support and generosity.

School closing and delays

We have added a new way to hear about closings and/or delays due to inclement weather. We are now part of “Operation Snowflake” which will be on the internet @ operationsnowflake.com.

Again, we are also listed on Comcast channel 18 and over the radio on WRNJ am. The easiest way to hear info is to call the school after 6:00am and listen to the message.

Holiday Hours

The calendar on this site notes the days we are closed and / or opened for child care only. Please sign your child up if he or she will be attending on days marked child care only.

Please note that we will close early on Dec. 31st. We will only be open until 4:30.

REMINDERS…….PLEASE NOTE!!!

** We try to go outside every day. Please send warm coats and hats/gloves every day. Our children need fresh air and to run around.

*** Please label everything!! We have markers if you need to write your child’s name on anything.

Happy and Healthy 2010!!
