know, Miss Kelly H. will be leaving us as of Tuesday, February
19th. Miss Kelly is pursuing her degree in Special
Education and has taken a job with a school for special needs
children. We will miss her but wish her well in all she does.

Before and After School
Please remind your children if you want them to finish their homework after school. The teachers will be very glad to work with them each day.
Registration and Re-Registration
During February we will begin registration for our 2008 fall and summer programs. We will hold an open house for all NEW families on February 2nd at 10:00 am. Please spread the word to your neighbors and friends who might be interested. YOUR word is our best advertisement!!!! We always give our current students the first chance to register. Re-registration is due by March 1. Every student must register for the summer program if attending. We will not assume that your child is continuing if we do not have a re-registration packet for him/her. Please let us know if you have any questions.
F.Y.I on Illness Calls
We realize that having to leave work early because you receive a call that your child is ill in very inconvenient. However, the State of NJ, Dept of Children and Families mandates that children with a fever or stomach virus must be removed from the center in order to protect the other children and their families and our center’s teachers. Please see Mrs. Hourihan if you would like a copy of the regulations.
The Independence Fire Department will hold its annual coloring contest during February. Our Pre-K children will participate. At least six winners will receive awards and honors given out by our Mayor. More info to come.
