February Fun……

 

   This month is filled with sweet fun. We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day; SWEETS and RED are the themes. Please look for sign up sheets on the front board. Kindly remember peanut free snacks only. All classes will be making bags to collect Valentine cards. Please sign your child’s name on the cards but do not address them. The teachers will distribute all of the cards into the bags.

   

REMEMBER: PRE-K CLASS – 40 KIDS    
PRESCHOOL CLASS – 25KIDS


President’s Day

             Since we follow the Great Meadow’s school calendar, there will be no  Pre-K/Preschool classes on Friday, February 13 or Monday, February 16th. Liberty Learning Center will be open for

            CHILD CARE ONLY!!!

Please be sure to sign up at the desk if your child is coming.

 

Pre-K News:

          Our Pre-K students are working very hard and conferences went well. Please start working with your child on recognition of letters and numbers. If your child has trouble writing his/her name, now is the time to start practicing. Mrs. Hourihan will start sending home some ‘homework’ for any child that wishes to have someJ It is not a real assignment, but some parents have requested some at home work.

 

Preschool News:

            Our Preschool children will be starting some letter and number recognition along with more color and shape review. They should be very proud of the work they are doing and the effort they are putting forth. They will be spending more time on organized activities and listening skills to prepare them for Pre-K in the fall.

  

Before and After School

 

       Please let us know if you are satisfied with the children’s homework that is being done after school. If your child is not doing his/her homework and you would like us to insist they do, please let Mrs. Hourihan know.

 

Registration and Re-Registration

            During February we will begin registration for our 2009 fall and summer programs. We will hold an open house for all NEW families on February 7th  at 10:00 am. Please spread the word to your neighbors and friends who might be interested.  YOUR word is our best advertisement!!!!

 

            We always give our current students the first chance to register. Re-registration is due by March 2. Every student must register for the summer program if attending. We will not assume that your child is continuing if we do not have a re-registration packet for him/her. Please let us know if you have any questions.

 

Some reminders

 

  • Hopefully the snow will melt soon and we will go outside. Please send warm clothing and old shoesJ

  • Please call the school if your child is going to be out for the day. We really need to know if your child will not be attending.

 

  • Parents of children attending Kindergarten in the fall should contact the office of the school where your child will be going as soon as possible!
