Happy and Healthy 2010 Happy New Year to you!! We hope you enjoyed the holidays and spent some “quiet” time together with family and friends.
Thank you for all of your wonderful gifts and well wishes. You were very kind to me and to all of our teachers; your thoughtfulness means so much!! We especially love the cards and pictures of your children! The pictures will stay up all year.
Thank you also for the generous donations of money and food to the Trinity Methodist Church Food Pantry. I delivered the food and gave them just over $200.00 and they were very grateful. You were especially generous with your food donations and they really needed every morsel. We will have a collection box once a month for more food items. Even if it is one box of cereal it will be appreciated.
A New Year brings us both hope and challenges: we hope to entice your children to do their best and then challenge them to do even better! We want your children to feel comfortable and confident each and every day. We also hope that we can work even closer with you, our parents, to develop an even stronger foundation for your children to build on. Together, our Liberty Learning Center family will succeed!!
PRE-Kindergarten Conferences: Mrs. Hourihan will have parent conferences for the parents of any child going to Kindergarten in September 2010. Please look for sign-up sheets by the front door soon. These conferences are just for the Pre-k classes. If you have any questions or need some other time for a conference, please let Mrs. Hourihan know. Happy and Healthy 2010!!
Thank you for choosing Liberty Learning Center!!
Please check the calendar frequently!! |
Pre-K will work hard on preparation for Kindergarten. Now is the time to gently suggest more writing and drawing and cutting practice. Use any time you can to review letters, numbers, and reading!
PRESCHOOL Our Preschool is ready for some more directed work. We will be tying in fun with letters and numbers along with developing better listening skills. We need to work on large muscle skills and patterns with our 3 year olds too. As always, manners are a focus we would like to work on both at home and at school. Making our Parking Lot Safer Our parking lot can become a dangerous area if drivers aren’t careful during busy drop off and pick up times. Please remember the following safety practices when you are entering and/or leaving the parking lot: 1) If a bus is in the parking lot you should not be driving in or out. Please wait until ALL children are safely in school or are on the bus before moving your vehicle. 2) When dropping off or picking up your child please do not block the driveway that goes behind the school. 3) NEVER leave a sibling in the car unattended!!!!!! BAD WEATHER CONCERNS *If you have questions about snow days, please call our main number after 6:00 am. Again, we follow the Great Meadows School decisions. We will try our best to be open every snow day and hope you understand that we must put the safety of our children and staff first. If Great Meadows has a delayed opening, our Preschool and Pre-k classes will be from 10:30 until 12:30.
Please keep the calendar on back handy!!
