Autumn

We say good bye to September and hopefully the rain. We apologize to for any inconvenience our ‘flooding’ has caused you. We have done our best to deal with this difficult situation and promise you that the school is safe.

We thank Mr. John Montgomery, our hero of the month, for his quick response to our flooding last week!

October is Fire Prevention month. Both classes will have the fire trucks from Independence Township come visit. It is a special treat and we thank them for coming. We will also have our first fire drills.

There will be no classes on October 10th but there will be childcare. Please sign your child up if he or she will be in school that day.

October would not be complete without Halloween  parties and  parades!!! This year we will be going to Warren Haven Nursing Home again - a treat for both the residents and our children. The parade is open to both classes and all siblings and parents are welcome. The children should come in costume and carry a bag or something to collect the goodies from the residents. We will only be able to bus our Childcare students.  All other students should meet us at Warren Haven at 10:00am. (directions will be available) There will be no Pre-K class that day.

We will need a few volunteers for our Halloween parties. Also, we ask that the parents supply some ‘goodies’ for the parties. Please look for the sign up sheets on by the front door soon.  We will parade around the playground at 11:40 both days. (weather permitting.) All are welcome. Children should come to school in costume on their party days.

PLEASE REMEMBER:
NO PEANUT PRODUCTS!!!!

Pre-k and Preschool News

Our Pre-k class is getting use to rotating and working in between play times. They have been very busy and have been doing a great job! Curious George will start his “Home Visits “during Letter C week . Every child will get to have George overnight. He will travel in his own back pack and you can write a note in his notebook detailing his visit with your child! George, the back pack and his notebook should return the following day. Just like ‘being a Line Leader’, every child will get a chance with George…it just might take a while.

Miss Jenna’s Preschool is trying hard to listen to directions and follow a daily routine. If you wonder how your child is doing, please feel free to ask, but for the first couple of weeks, no news is good news.

Before and After School

Our Before and After children are working hard at homework and still getting some time to get outside and play. Please let us know if you want us to work on anything special with your child.

Reminders

  • When checking your child in or out please make sure you have touched both his/her picture AND .. Finish. Wait and see if the screen says “Successful” before you leave it.
