Welcome!! Welcome to our 2008-2009 Liberty Learning Center school year. Hopefully everyone had a great summer.
Every month our LLC newsletter will be filled with important information. There will be a calendar on the back of each newsletter and all three groups will have their own section. Please keep these newsletters handy so your child doesn’t miss any fun.
Our code has changed. If you need the number, see Mrs. Hourihan. Please do not give this code to anyone. We will open the door for “special pick-ups”.
Attached to this newsletter are a few important notices.
One is a permission slip. We are starting a student directory for families who are interested. Please read it and return it to Mrs. Hourihan as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
The next is an important note from the Dept. of Health regarding Immunization Regulations. This new requirement for each child in a daycare/preschool to receive annual influenza and pneumonia vaccine will go in effect immediately. Please make sure to bring in an updated immunization report as soon as your child receives the new vaccines. The county health nurse will be checking our vaccine reports in December, so please make sure all are updated by then.
The last notice is a list of our teachers and the groups they will work with. Please feel free to contact any one of them if you have a question or request.

Daily Routines Please sign your child in and out each day. Write the time and initial it each day.
Please remember to look in your child’s mailbox everyday for information and projects. The Before and After school children have mailboxes in the hallway by the kitchen. Take the time to check them each day. Also check the front board daily.
Book ClubStarting in mid September, we will be handing out papers for the Scholastic Book Club. There are many reasonably priced children’s books offered every month. You are not required to purchase books. However, please look through the monthly order sheets. Each book you buy gives our school a number of bonus points. We use these bonus points to get books for our school. Look for the order forms in your mailbox. All orders are due by the 25th of the month. There will be a box on Mrs. Hourihan’s desk for your order and check. (Make checks payable to Scholastic Book Club) No Cash please!
Speaking of books……… Every other Friday afternoon from 2:00-3:00 the Warren County Bookmobile will be visiting our school. Any child that is present on Friday may go into the “traveling library” and pick a book. We will keep this book at school and share it with all of the children during the week. If your child comes home with a book, please send it back to school the next day.
